Quite late on in the booking process, our wish to fit in a visit to Oldupai Gorge and a Masai village was accommodated. These additional locations together with the amazing Safari experience, really made our trip to Tanzania especially memorable. Our driver and Safari guide, Ema Nanyaro was a pleasure to deal with. Without his driving skills, local knowledge and experience, the Safari would not have been nearly as much fun as it was. Having dealt with QH, I am sure all their Safari drivers will be very good, but if you do require an English speaker and Ema is available, you really won't go wrong! Suffice to say, we will try very hard to do another Safari in Tanzania some time soon and QH and Ema will be very high on our list of preferred tour operators/Safari guide.

Boy, we were not disappointed!! This was the trip of a lifetime for my husband and I! Our Quest Horizons Safari guides, Emmanuel Urio, Martin Matai and Elisha Jeremia, were fun, informative and well organized. They kept us safe and comfortable in our safari cruisers. Our nephew even got engaged to his girlfriend during an African sunrise and bought a tanzanite (an African gem that is rarer than diamonds) engagement ring! We didn't want to leave! But we have lots of good pictures and memories!

Our guide/driver Naiman was great – great English, calm friendly demeanor, very knowledgable about the animals but also the local history. Expert driving and knew exactly where to find all the animals.

We were originally going to go to Manyara, but they switched us to Tarangire because of better wildlife viewing. Both "lodges" (Ngorongoro Farm House and Kubu Kubu Tented Camp) were amazing, super friendly and comfortable. The grounds at Ngorongoro Farm House in particular were so beautiful. Best of all were the game drives, can't say enough about how our guide Jason found the best spots. My second multi-day safari, but the experience was still "once in a lifetime". Highly recommended.

After... read more lots of research, since there are 1000 of companies out there, we found Quest horizon, and they were able to accommodate us with all our requests. We got a tailored itinerary, in a few minutes, had the possibility to pay with the card, which can be a problem in this part of the world, and left first thing next morning on an adventure of a lifetime. Emanuel, our guide was very professional, extremely knowledgeable, and a nice person to hand out with. Their safaris are made in a way that you get the best out of each national park, while sleeping in the middle of them. The campsites are very basic, but clean and friendly, and lets face it, what else one needs when you sleep under the stars , with no fence from the wild animals, in the heart of the Serengeti?
Pius our chef was great, he prepared excellent vegetarian food, he even made pizza for us one day. We had a fabulous time , saw every possible animal and recommend Quest Horizon warmly!!

The safari was professionally run, using an exceptional and well outfitted safari vehicle. The guide was super knowledgeable of animals, terrain, birds, nature as well as safe driving. He was very enthusiastic and I could tell he really enjoys nature and showing it off to his customers. He is proud of Tanzania and all that it offers for safari. I would recommend this tour for solos or groups and even older kids.   BEST TRIP EVER - Beyond Expectations

My friends and I recently took a safari with Mgonja, He and Naiman set up our entire trip and it was perfect. Mgonja is an... read more exceptional guide. He became family after 12 days of guiding us on this trip.

Our trip included national parks, a Maasai village, a city tour and even a local restaurant. If we asked a question, he answered, not just about animals, but also the climate, plants and Tanzania. It is always understood that a particular animal siting is not guaranteed, but through communication with other guides we saw everything we wanted and more!
Just one of the many trip highlights was a lion mating by the side of the road, we were able to be right next to him. We had deliberately left open time and asked his advice on where to go. He had suggestions, then arranged it, and filled our time with extraordinary experiences.

Mgonja made our safari so much more than we had in mind and I would highly recommend a Tanzania Safaris with Quest Horizon to anyone considering a safari. Mgonja made sure we got our covid tests done and back in time for our flight back to the states with minimal disruption to our day. Felt safe the entire time.

They were relentless in finding... read more the Big Five game animals until we saw them all (elephant, cape buffalo, lion, rhinoceros, and leopard) up close and were able to take thousands of pictures. Their modern, clean, Toyota land cruisers provided comfort in an area that is very remote from crowds, where we could learn close up about nature and the cycle of life. We felt fortunate to find hundred of thousands of wildebeest and zebras in their Great Migration in an area that was bigger than the state of Connecticut. We visited the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, Arusha, and Tarangire National Parks in an action packed 8 day trip. In addition this crew of expert guides allowed us to participate in a special engagement ceremony for two of our party at a Maasai village, where we stayed for three hours. We left wanting to spend more time with our guides, so that we could absorb more of the knowledge they were willing to share. We will miss those who are now our extended family in northern Tanzania.

First we thought about going to Kruger, as most of people in Brazil do, but after... read more some research we decided we want the best experience one could imagine, so Serengeti sounded as the perfect option, for its vast variety and huge number of animals.
As we were never in Africa, and never had a Safari experience I did loads of research and effort to find the best operator, but not letting the choice of good value behind.
I got around 20 to 30 quotes using safaribooking.com and started to correspond with operators.
Since the beginning Naiman, the person who I was talking to, was very nice and polite, willing to answer all my doubts, which were many, lol. So at the end we closed the deal, as the itinerary looked perfect, and same for acommodation. The value was also the best I had from all the quotes, from what it offered.
We got 6 nights in mid-range accomodation, but had a problem with Kenya Airways and ended up having 5 nights and 6 days. I was really upset and worried that we would miss attractions or our precious time, but thanks to Quest Horizon it all went perfect.
We arrived 2 hours late in Kilimanjaro airport, when our guide Emanuel picked us and greeted with joy to the begining of our trip:)
Since the start we got along and had great conversations, he made our time incredibly awesome during those days. We learned so much and saw everything we dreamed of. I'm a very curious person and asked loads of questions about the animals, and he knew the answer for each one of them! He always placed us in the best spots to watch the animals, even when there was a big crowd around them. He was always vigilant looking for animals and gave us lessons about wildlife. We saw all the big five many times, and countless others. Every second of our trip was worth it and it exceeded all expectations.
Also the car was in good conditions, no incidents happened even knowing that it's common.
The lodges we stayed were fantastic! Very confortable, food was delicious and staff always friendly and helpful. Our favorite was Serengeti Heritage Luxury Camp, tents in the heart of Serengeti, super confortable and safe, staff was the best! They even made music and dance little shows at night. Food was delicious too.
I could write many lines about our amazing time, but i'll recommend you to go and experience it yourself :) I highly recommend Quest Horizon to everyone, and hopefully will book Kilimanjaro with them next year. It's a local operator that has all the experience and care for what they are doing. Since the beginning I wanted a local operator as I want to support local tourism in Tanzania.
